Privacy summary

• DailyLoop Journal is designed to work offline-first.
• No account is required for core app use.
• Your journal content is stored on your device.
• Backups are only exported or imported when you choose to do so.

Data stored in the app

DailyLoop Journal stores check-ins, habits, prompts, settings, and optional notes locally on your device to provide app features such as history, insights, streaks, reminders, and app lock.

Data we do not collect by default

• No mandatory account registration for app usage.
• No sale of personal data.
• No ad-tech profiling based on journal content.

Permissions used

• Notifications: for daily reminder and optional evening nudge.
• Face ID / Touch ID: to lock the app if you enable App Lock.
• Files / sharing access: only when you export or import backups.

Backup, export, and import

You can export your data as JSON (full backup) or CSV (records) and share those files using iOS share options. You can also import valid JSON backups using overwrite or merge mode. Imported files are validated before data is written.

You are responsible for where exported files are stored or shared outside the app.

Retention and deletion

• Your entries remain on device until you edit or delete them.
• You can remove individual entries from History.
• You can remove app data by uninstalling the app.

Third-party services

DailyLoop Journal may use Apple-provided iOS capabilities (such as notifications and biometric authentication) to deliver requested features. If any external processing services are added in future versions, this policy will be updated.

Children's privacy

DailyLoop Journal is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support channels, contact us and we will review it.

Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The latest version is always posted at this URL with the updated effective date.
